Actinica is a chemical sunscreen that acts as a physical sunscreen due to its particles being wrapped in a liposome making them unable to penetrate the dermis.

Containing both UVA and UVB filters,  Actinica is a Medical Device Class 1 product suitable for all skin types but especially those prone to sun burn and freckling as well as those with a history of skin cancer or with a compromised immune system.

Basically it is designed as a treatment product of a high enough quality to suit the most extreme cases.
